„Life means going from one space to another,“ writes Georges Perec. What do all the spaces that we use each day mean to us? Have they grown, been built, designed, or described? What do they make possible and what do they demand of us? In any case, spaces are much more than simple containers for life situations. Perec said, „Space is a doubt: I have constantly to mark it, to designate it. It is never mine, never given to me, I have to conquer it.”

Unique compositions have been created in cooperation with the Institute for Electronic Music and Acoustics at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz for this unique exhibition space, which has a lively counterpart in the Graz Stadtpark,. Margret Kreidl circles and expands the space with her poetry, and Hartmut Skerbisch, through the power of sculpture. Opening ourselves to the spatial dimension means using all our senses, not only for singular purposes, but to absorb the abundance and intensity of details – to be receptive to the sheer „concreteness of the world“ as it surrounds us so naturally.
